As we seek God, the right foot forward is always the right start. Seeking and sincerity are the essentials of a rightly guided journey. The right foot forward is always seeking sincerely and seeking open endedly.
When you seek, you are not looking for something in a certain specific place. Then you may as well just go ahead and get it from there. When you seek, you don't know the way. You search for it, not knowing what it is, but something of what it tastes and feels like, going with the yearning for it. It's like wanting the taste of, say, sugarcane juice except that you don't know what it is, and trying every possible juice till it satisfies the taste you desired all along.
